Conference venue:
Krakow, a former capital of Poland, was registered on the UNESCO World
Heritage
List. The Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364, is one of the oldest in
Europe.
The conference registration will be open already on 11th September,
13.00-17.00
in the Collegium Novum, the Conference main venue, which is located in
the very
centre of the city, just a few steps from the Market Square (Rynek
Glowny). A
part of the Conference programme will take place nearby in the Collegium
Maius,
the oldest Gothic edifice of the University. Both buildings can be found
on the
enclosed map (marked number 1 and 9 respectively). The students hostel
"Nawojka"
can also be found there (number
60).
You can get to the city centre from the Krakow Balice airport by bus shuttle
(20-30 min.) or by taxi. From the main railway station (Krakow Glowny)
on foot,
by taxi, by tram or by bus.

Payments:
It is important to bring a confirmation of your payment. Every accompanying
person ought to pay half of the Conference fee at the registration desk.
ESCAS life membership fee:
Anyone willing to pay the ESCAS life membership fee (100 Euro, students 50
Euro) will be able to do it at the registration desk. It would be greatly
appreciated as the Conference budget is limited.
Meals:
Meals are not provided. As the restaurants and bars around the
Conference venue
are numerous you will encounter no difficulties finding them. If you wish to
have lunch arranged by the Conference organisers you should pay in
advance (note
the 2nd Announcement).
Post-conference trips and sightseeing tours:
Information on available post-conference trips and sightseeing tours,
which are
paid by the participants, will be provided during the conference. The
participants are encouraged to explore the city on their own,
particularly the
Market Square, which is one of the largest in Europe, situated nearby the
Conference venue.
Exhibitions:
Books and journals exhibitions, arranged by Publishers and Bookstores, are
welcomed. The fee is 250 Euro per meter table of the exhibition area. Please
contact the Organising Committee for further details.
Papers presentation:
Plenary session speakers can talk up to 20 minutes. All other speakers
can talk
for 15 minutes (plus 5 minutes for discussion). It is important to
inform the
Conference organisers in advance (till the end of August) as to your
requirements regarding technical facilities.
Abstracts:
The authors are requested to bring copies of their abstracts if they wish to
distribute them among the participants. A special table will be provided for
this purpose.
Coffee breaks:
Beverages will be available in the hall of the Collegium Novum.
