Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the publication of "Monuments, patrons, contexts:

Kiel<http://nino-leiden.nl/publication.aspx?BK_id=03026>",

historian Machiel Kiel at the Netherlands Institute in Turkey back in 2008.

On this occasion, we would like to invite you to the presentation of this
publication to Prof. Kiel on October 20, 2010 at 18:00. The evening will
begin with a lecture by Hedda Reindl-Kiel on the topic of "Luxury, power
strategies and the question of corruption: gifting in the Ottoman Elite
(16th-18th centuries)", continue with the presentation of the book, and
conclude with a small cocktail. Please see the attachment for the poster and
the abstract of the lecture.
