The History Department of Eastern Mediterranean University invites
applications for a full-time assistant professorship in Ottoman/Early
Republic Turkish History. Qualifications required include PhD in
History, Middle Eastern Studies or related fields, experience in the use
of Ottoman primary sources, and ability to teach in English. Applicants
with research interest in history of Ottoman Cyprus and Eastern
Mediterranean will be given strong consideration. The Department
emphasizes quality of research, and the preference will be given to
candidates with ISI publication record in the field. Salary and benefits
