A condensed Kazakh version of this work was written and published by the 
author
under the title _Kazak pen ortaazialiktarding ulttigi men eldigin 
korgau_ and
was released in December 2005 via the Central Asian Historical-Cultural 
Research
Center in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Along with the description from the back 
cover and
order information, an excerpt has been made available from the forthcoming
English version on the internet. It contains the Foreword and review 
statements
by Kazakh scholars (based on the Kazakh version) as well as the Table of
Contents, Author's Preface and Overview. These can be viewed and/or

The author has lived and worked in Kazakhstan for seven of the last ten 
years.
He is currently bringing his PhD work to completion ('ABD') at Kazakh 
National
University in Culture Theory and History. All his work has been done in 
Kazakh,
an experience which provides for unique and important insight into the 
issues
raised in this work.
