seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Middle Eastern and/or =
Islamic history. Research specialization is open but candidates must be =
prepared to offer a course in the modern Middle East and other =
introductory and upper-level courses. Teaching responsibilities also =
include a freshman-level 20th century world history course. Requirements =
include demonstrated excellence in teaching, a commitment to =
undergraduate education, and clear evidence of scholarly potential.  =
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed all Ph.D. =
requirements by August 2006. Advanced ABD candidates may be considered.=20
