The Oriental Institute of the University of Zurich seeks to appoint to a =
PhD position in Arabic Studies or Islamology for its project "The =
Transition from Papyrus to Paper as Mirrored by Arabic Contracts on =
Papyrus and Paper". The project forms part of the National Centre of =
Competence in Research on "Mediality: Historical Perspectives".

The position is available from January 1st, 2006 for 3.5 years. The =
successful candidate will held a master's degree (Lizentiat/Magister) in =
Arabic studies, Islamology or a related field. Applicants should send =
