BIOETHICS - CALL FOR PAPERS AND INVITATION FOR PARTICIPATION

This session will explore the myriad of emerging ethical concerns as=20
related to health and medicine from the point of view of social sciences=20
and humanities from its most comprehensive perspective. The concept of=20
ethics and ethical issues in the 21st century. The ethics of the new=20
biotechnology. Bioscience. What are the social consequences of the right=20
to clone human beings? New understandings and dimensions in ethics,=20
including social implications of the human genome project. Policies on=20
embryonic stem cells. What can social scientists say about hospital=20
ethics committees? Sanctity of life versus quality of life: ongoing=20
debates and different cultural experiences of euthanasia. Issues related=20
to organ donations and the moral basis of organ transplantation without=20
brain death. Socioeconomic resources and the ethics of resource=20
allocation. Social consequences of the collapse of buildings and other=20

The International Forum for Social Sciences and Health (IFSSH) welcomes=20
