International Workshop: "Men of Disorder - Masculinity, Violence and
Urban Networks in the Modern Middle East and Central Asia",
Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, 25-26 April 2014.

The project "Men of Disorder" scrutinizes interrelations between
collective violent actions in the modern Middle East and configurations
of masculinity. The workshop aims at discussing case studies, as well as
theoretical and methodological implications. We invite contributions
dealing with male networks, masculinities, or urban violence in modern
and contemporary Middle Eastern and Central Asian societies.

Deadline for abstracts December 16, 2013.
