Call for Papers

The Young Scholars on Turkey (YSOT) Program calls for individual paper 
proposals for its annual conference to be held on November 2, 2012 at 
Sent: Wednesday, August 22, 2012 12:27 PMthe National Press Club in 
Washington, D.C.

The 2012 YSOT Program Conference is sponsored by the SETA Foundation at 
Washington D.C.

The YSOT Program aims to facilitate dialogue and exchange of ideas 
between Washington based policy makers, scholars, and early career 
researchers whose research is related to Turkey. The program aims to

voices and analytical perspectives on Turkey. For further information,

We welcome individual paper proposals on policy-relevant issues on 
Turkey from disciplines such as history, political science, 
international relations, public policy, economics, sociology, and 
conflict resolution. While papers can be from a broad range of topics, 
we emphasize that the subject matter should have policy implications.

Please submit a 300-500 word abstract and a short bio page as separate 
word document attachments to ysot at setadc.org<mailto:ysot at setadc.org> by 
September 17, 2012.

The YSOT program will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the 
conference. Limited funding may be available for international 
participants. The conference papers will be published in a separate 
volume. The edited volume from the YSOT 2011 Conference titled, History,

  *   Role of civil society organizations and initiatives
  *   Future of Turkish democracy
