Dear Colleagues,

Balkan history is an integral part of Turkish history. From the
pre-Ottoman period through the times of Ottoman Empire, the Balkans
have had an important place in Turkish history. Within the framework
of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the Balkan
region continues to maintain its importance for Turkey in the present
day as well.

In this context, Sakarya University's Centre for Balkan Studies wants
to prepare an edited volume, entitled "The Balkans in Turkish
History". For this international project, scientific contributions are
invited not only from Turkey and the Balkans but also from scholars
all over the world.
