Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Medieval History of the Institute of History of the
Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, Russia)
invites you to be one of the contributors to the new Yearbook titled
“Medieval Turko-Tatar States”.  This Yearbook is dedicated to the
history of the Golden Horde (a.k.a. Ulus Juchi, Qipchak Khanate)
successor states, existed in Central Eurasia during the XV till the
XVIII cc. – the Great and the Nogai Hordes, the Crimean, the Kazan,
the Kasimov, the Siberian, the Tiumen khanates etc.

Contributors to the third volume are free to write on any topic within
the field of Medieval Turko-Tatar States. We ask that contributions be
no more than 40 000 characters in length (including empty spaces and
endnotes) with references following the Chicago Manual of Style (15th
edition) (in case you write in English). You are free to write in
English and in Russian. English-language texts should be provided with
a short summary in Russian. Submissions should be sent as an email
attachment (in MSWord or in MSWord compatible) to Bulat R.

The editors of this volume have produced a schedule of deadlines that
will ensure that the book appears in early 2012.  To meet this goal,
we ask all contributors to abide as best as possible by the following
calendar of deadlines:

1 June 2011:
respond to invitation

1 September
2011: submit your article

Spring, 2012:
book appears in print

In your response to this invitation, please provide a tentative title
for your article, its size (in characters) and a short annotation
(1500 characters), as well as your current title and affiliation.
Please alert us to any changes in your contact information or
affiliation (by emailing bulatraim at yahoo.com.).

After the publication, the pdf version of this volume will be
available at www.tataroved.ru (section “Publications”).
