Position: Professor (W3) of Culture Contact and Culture Conflict  in
Middle Asia and the Near East, University of Tuebingen.

Applications are invited for the position of Professor (W3) of Culture
Contact and Culture Conflict in Middle Asia and the Near East at the
University of Tuebingen’s recently established Asia-Orient Institute
at the Faculty of Cultural Studies. The post should be occupied by
01.10.2011.

Competence is required in at least two of the three relevant languages
of Persian, Arabic and Turkish. Responsibilities include teaching
required courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, curricular
development and instruction in the respective languages.

Candidates must have completed their Habilitation or possess
commensurate academic qualifications. Pedagogic experience and
interest are also required.
