Job Position: Registrar

The Nazarbayev University is a dynamic new university located in
Astana, Kazakhstan.  Partnering with several leading universities in
the world, the Nazarbayev University seeks to establish a world class
university offering degrees in engineering, technology and science,
medicine, social sciences, and humanities.  The university will begin
operations this fall, expanding its student population to 4,000 by 2015.

Responsibilities

  - Responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of
    student records using the best international standards, e.g., grades,
    registration data, transcripts, mid-term verification, and audits.
  - Disseminate student data for institutional research and publishing
    official statistics.
  - Provide leadership and develop appropriate procedures for the
    implementation of technology applications for Registration.
  - Collaborate with administrators, deans, recruitment, faculty, IT
    and counselors to improve services to students for
    registration/records policy questions.

Requirements

  - Master's degree in higher education or related area
  - Three years professional experience in the registrar's office,
    preferably in a North American or European university.
  - Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  - English is required and Russian/Kazakh would be helpful.
