Dear concerned friends,

These are the petitions protesting against the Chinese government's
current urgent action demolishing Kashgar old town and relocating its
residents.

As an ancient city of the Silk Road, Kashgar is the cradle of Uyghur
culture. It is also my hometown and the topic of my life long research
on Uyghur vernacular architecture and Uyghur culture. The demolishing of
the city and forcefully relocation of half of the population of the city
will have tremendous impact on the life of the residents, to the Uyghur
culture, and to the invaluable cultural heritage of the world. You can
find more information through the following links.
