[Bilimsel Haber] Call for Papers: Journal of Rotterdam Islamic and Social Studies

Dear Colleagues,

First of all I want to give you our hearty and sincere regards as the Rector
of The Islamic University of Rotterdam, since the honor of managing of the
first Islamic University in a non-Muslim country has been given to me in the
summer of 2001. The task is grand and gigantic, but without support of
academic colleagues it is almost impracticable.

The University means education and research. For research aspect, we would
like to publish an academic journal which may contribute to solve some
social problems firstly in the Netherlands and secondly in the whole world.
The name of this academic journal is RISS (The Journal of Rotterdam Islamic
and Social Studies).

I am inviting you to join to this heavy task as an author for an academic
article for RISSS. The RISS will be published twice a year and will become
an referred academic journal about Islamic and Social subjects. If you
accept, that would be honor for our University. I would like to inform you
that the scientific-professional and Islamic Journal RISS (The Journal of
Rotterdam Islamic and Social Studies) has been published in English and will
be circulated internationally. The Journal focuses on themes such as
philosophy, epistemology, study of religion and comparative studies, takes a
critical-analytical approach to the most important contemporary theoretical
issues and questions, and aims to create a place for conversation among the
elite, scholars, and experts of the above fields about Islamic and Social
subjects. The Editorial Board and the Journal's scientific advisors hope to
provide a place to exchange of ideas among the elite of various cultural,
religious, and philosophical fields throughout the world.

Some requests:

. I would like to notify that the themes of the all issues of Journal will
be, respectively, Islamic and Social subjects.

. It would be greatly appreciated if we could receive your replies until the
end of February 2008:

. Would you like to cooperate with this Journal (Article, Book review etc)?

. With many thanks in advance for your kind attention and cooperation with
the Journal

. Would you like to be a member in our International Advisory Board?
