[Bilimsel Haber] Middle East Sociology (Charles Kurzman)

[Tugrul Keskin]

An invitation to sociologists who study the Middle East, with apologies
for cross-postings:

Sociologists are underrepresented among Middle East specialists, and
Middle East specialists are underrepresented among sociologists. A number
of sociologists who study the Middle East have created an informal working
group to consolidate this field of research and to increase scholarly
training and collaboration. A preliminary web site has been created at
http://www.unc.edu/~kurzman/MideastSociology, where one can view
announcements and register to join the list-serve we have established.

Please pass this invitation along to other sociologists who might be
interested in participating in these efforts.

Sincerely,

Charles Kurzman

Living is no laughing matter:
you must live with great seriousness
like a squirrel, for example-
I mean without looking for something beyond and above living,
I mean living must be your whole occupation.
