[Bilimsel Haber] 2nd "Summer School in Anthropology, Ethnography and Comparative Folklore of the Balkans", Konitsa-Greece, 30/7-10/8/2007

Dear colleagues,

The University of Ioannina in collaboration with the "Border
Crossings"network of academics and the Municipality of Konitsa the 2nd
"Summer School
in Anthropology, Ethnography and Comparative Folklore of the Balkans" in
the town of Konitsa in the period 30/7-10/8/2007.

In the 1st 2006 Summer School, it was 98 students from 17 countries and
57 universities that attended it. Various courses were taught by 17
lectures
from 7 countries. Professors Maurice Godelier, Jane Cowan, Dimitra
Gefou-Madianou, Eftichia Voutira, Rajko Mursic, and Fotini Tsimbiridou
were
among the invited speakers.

This year there are 7 courses offered, workshops and key lectures to be
delivered by the professors Thomas Hylland Eriksen and Kirsten Hastrup.
