Departmental Lecturership in Islamic Art and Archaeology

Salary in the University Grade 7, £25,889 – £31,840 per annum. The
University proposes to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Islamic Art
and Archaeology. The appointment will run for three years from 1 October
2007. Candidates should have a primary field of expertise in Islamic art
and 
archaeology. Candidates should hold, or be working towards, a doctorate
in a related field, and be able to provide evidence of published, or
soon to be published, research. The primary duties of the post holder
will be to give lectures, classes and tutorials, to prepare and develop
teaching materials, and to examine, for all undergraduate and masters
courses on Islamic material and visual culture before 1700.
