University of Oklahoma, position in Politics of the Middle East (Application review begins: December 1, 2006)

The University of Oklahoma seeks to fill an entry level, tenure track position in the Politics of the Middle East. This will be split budget appointment between the School of International and Area Studies and the Department of Political Science. Half the teaching load will be in the
School of International and Area Studies and half in the Department of Political Science. Applicants must be able to teach introductory, upper-division and graduate courses in Middle Eastern politics, as well as specialized courses in the candidate?s area of research expertise. The appointment begins 16 August 2007. Salary will be competitive. Applicants should have, or be close to completing a PhD, and demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching and research, with the strong likelihood of a sustained publication record.
