Call for Nominations for
Henry Glassie Award

The Vernacular Architecture Forum, formed in 1980, is the country’s
preeminent body for the study of ordinary architecture and landscapes.
Among our programs is the Henry Glassie Special Achievement Award, which
recognizes special achievements in and contributions to the field of
vernacular architecture studies. This year, the Glassie Award Committee
seeks to recognize books published between 2004-6 that have made
significant contributions to the study of vernacular architecture and
cultural landscapes outside of North America. There is no application
form, but cover letter should include a complete mailing address, phone
number, and e-mail address of the nominated author.

For more information or for further details on submitting a nomination,
please contact Rebecca Ginsburg, VAF President, MC-620, Department of
Landscape Architecture, University of Illinois, Champaign IL 61801
(rginsbur at uiuc.edu) by January 1, 2007.
