CfP: Tenth Annual Graduate Symposium: "Culture and Identity in the Near =
and Middle East From Ancient to Modern Times,"
University of Toronto, Canada (March 2, 2006)

The Graduate Students' Association of the Department of Near & Middle =
Eastern Studies (NMCGSA) at University of Toronto, Canada, is pleased to
announce the 10th Annual Graduate Symposium to be held on March 2, 2006 =
in Toronto, Canada.

The symposium provides graduate students the opportunity to present =
original research in a conference-like forum, the proceedings of which =
are
periodically published. We encourage feedback from attending peers and =
faculty members, and foster interdisciplinary awareness and discussion.
The symposium celebrates the excellence and effort of all participants. =
This year, the tenth, we also hope to recognize an exceptional =
presentation (as determined by a peer-review panel) with a small =
monetary award.

Graduate students are invited to submit proposals outlining original =
research broadly defined by this year's theme, by providing a 150-word =
abstract via our online application site, email, or mail by January 20, =
2006 to:
