COURSE OFFERING- Conflict and Conflict Resolution in the Caucasus,
Malmoe Univ.
This is to inform you that this autumn semester, at the School of
International Migration and Ethnic Relations, Malmoe University
(Sweden), we will offer a new webbased course on conflicts and conflict
resolution in the Caucasus:
Conflict And Conflict Resolution in the Caucasus
10 credits (15 ECTS credits)
Caucasus is characterized by territorial complexity and high ethnic
diversity. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the region has
witnessed a number of violent ethnopolitic conflicts with large refugee
flows, increasing Islamic fundamentalism, escalating terrorism and other
destabilizing effects. In the course a selection of conflict cases in
the region are analysed on the basis of existing conflict theories and
models for conflict resolution.
The course is in English, is open for applicants from any country with
the required qualifications and there is no tuition fee.
