Call For Papers

International Ataturk Alatoo University invites individual paper 
proposals for
the International Conference on "Eurasian Societies With Regard to
Globalization" to be held on Thursday March 30, 2006 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Academicians, professors and independent scholars are invited to submit 
their
papers in the conference.


The Objective of the Conference:

Eurasia refers to an interconnected and interdependent large region which
includes some sub-regions such as Black Sea region, Caucasus, and 
Central Asia.
Globalization, in terms of a growing interconnectedness, spread of 
Western forms
and norms, travels and migrations, intercultural relations, has an impact on
Eurasian societies as it has on the other societies in the world. The 
conference
will cover a wide scope of issues under this title and analyse general 
trends,
realities, phenomena, and problems in Eurasia. An international 
conference and
discussion on 'Eurasian Societies With Regard to Globalization`, aimed at
bringing together academicians from different universities on an academic
platform, will be specifically meaningful when held in such a city as 
Bishkek
which combined nationalities from different Eurasian countries.


The Scope of the Conference:

  - The term `Eurasia`
  - Development in Eurasia
  - Eurasia in World Politics
  - Political, social and economic issues, problems, and prospects of 
Eurasian
societies
  - The impact of globalization on Eurasian societies
  - State-building and identity in Eurasia
  - Integration in Eurasia

Final paper submission deadline: March 1, 2006

Submission

  - Submissions should include in word format:
  - Title of the paper, Abstract (not more than 350 words; and should be
informative for non-specialists), Key words (up to 5-6 ), Full names and
affiliation of all authors, Corresponding author's name, full postal 
address,
telephone number, fax number, email address
  - Submissions are accepted in English, Russian, Kyrgyz, and Turkish 
languages
  - Notification of acceptance will be emailed to the authors of 
accepted papers
  - Abstracts and Papers have to be emailed as attachments in word format
  - All the papers presented at the conference will be published in the
conference proceedings.


Funding and Accommodation

We regret that we cannot offer any funding for international travel
expenditures. The University will help the participants for their 
accommodation
needs.


Paper format

  - All papers should be 1.5 lines spaced with 12 font size (Times New 
Roman)
  - Margins should be (4.00) at the top and left, (2.5cm) at the bottom 
and right

Limits: Approximately 20 pages.
