qui parle invites submissions for its upcoming issue, to be released in Spring
of 2006. Founded in 1986 by an editorial board from the University of
California at Berkeley, qui parle is dedicated to expanding the dialogues that
take place between disciplines and which challenge conventional understandings
of reading and scholarship in academia.

The editors will consider all papers that speak to our commitment to publishing
the very best of international scholars working on a variety of disciplines,
including philosophy, literature, history, and visual culture. Papers treating
questions surrounding epistemologies of otherness, including alternate knowledge
forms, are particularly encouraged.

The deadline for submissions is December 2. Please visit our website (listed
below) for a list of past contributors and for sample issue contents, including
that of our upcoming issue, which includes a dossier on the topic of disaster.
The website also contains submission guidelines.
