VISITING RESEARCH ASSOCIATES IN WOMEN'S STUDIES NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY, =
BOSTON, MA 2005-2006

The Women's Studies Program at Northeastern University annually offers =
Research Associate positions to scholars researching topics on women or =
gender issues in the humanities and sciences. Scholars are in residence =
for the academic year (or shorter) at Northeastern University in Boston, =
Massachusetts. During 2005-2006, the Women=EDs Studies Program will =
expand its commitment in interdisciplinary applied research to include =
the intersectionality of race and gender. The proposed ICGESR devoted to =
basic research will expand the relationship between theory and community =
particularly research locally, nationally and internationally. Scholars =
must have their own financial support, but are provided with office =
space, library privileges, free computer time on Northeastern=EDs =
mainframe, limited support for photocopy, fax and postage expenses =
related to research.
Northeastern University has one of the strongest faculties in Women=EDs =
Studies in New England. The Women's Studies program sponsors many
seminars, lectures, conferences and colloquia, including the Boston =
Feminist Theory Colloquium.

Located in the center of Boston, Northeastern University is ideally =
located for visiting scholars. In addition to its proximity to Boston's =
rich cultural and artistic life, Northeastern is close to major research =
libraries such as the Boston Public Library, the Schlesinger Library at =
Radcliffe as well as numerous academic institutions that make the =
intellectual life of Boston one of the richest in the country. Scholars =
may apply by sending a brief
statement of their project, dates of expected residency and a current =
