Dear colleagues,
My book, "L'autre Turquie: le mouvement al=E9viste et ses territoires", =
has been recently published by Presses universitaires de France, Paris.

Through an analysis of the Alevist movement since the eighties, in =
Turkey but also in Germany, the book sheds new light on the identity =
issue and political activism in contemporary Turkey, a country that now =
finds itself enjoined, on the occasion of its candidature for the =
European Union, to amend its Kemalist nationalism and reconsider its =
human diversity. It pays special attention to the changes due to =
rapprochement with the European Union, as well as to the new dynamics in =
migration, and proposes an innovative reflection on transnational =
movements in these times of "globalisation".

Price: ? 28.00. 362 pages, bibliogr., index
ISBN: 2130549470.
