Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to inform you of 'A Sacramental Community: Women, =
Spirituality and the Arts', an exciting event at Saint Mary's College =
of California. SMC
will be hosting an all-day symposium on Friday, November 4, 2005 on =
women, spirituality and the arts.

At this time we are putting out a call for participation in this event =
-- a celebration of depictions of Mary in the Catholic imagination, =
architectural spaces that mediate the presence of God and contemporary =
artistic expressions from the sacramental community such as creative =
writing, visual art and the performing arts. We will consider proposals =
for thematically organized sessions, special panels or individual =
contributors.

For consideration, send a 1-page proposal or abstract, and a current =
c.v. to Professor Anna Novakov at anovakov@stmarys-ca.edu. Please do =
not send hard
copy versions of these documents.

Deadline for submissions is April 1st. Participants will be notified of =
their status by May 1, 2005.

Best Regards,

Anna Novakov
