International Visiting Fellowship Competition 2006-7

The Cultures of Consumption research programme invites applications for a=
n
International Visiting Fellowship for 2006-7. Cultures of Consumption=20
explores
consumption in a global context. The research programme is funded by the=20
ESRC
and AHRB. The fellowship is competitive and open to leading international
researchers from across the social sciences and humanities. Applicants?=20
research
interests should relate to projects in the Cultures of Consumption=20
programme.

The fellow will write one paper and co-organise one workshop with=20
researchers in
the programme. Applications are invited from younger as well as senior=20
academics
based outside the United Kingdom. The fellowship is for any period from=20
three to
six months, with a stipend of =A32,500 ? 3,000 per month, depending on
qualifications. The fellow will be based at Birkbeck College, located in
Bloomsbury in the heart of London.

Deadline: 6 May 2005 (for Fellowships January 2006 ? June 2007)

Requirements: PhD or equivalent, research of international excellence and
institutional affiliation outside the United Kingdom.
