Proposals for panels and 20-minute papers are sought from scholars
working in
the area of travel writing within the disciplines of literary,
historical and
cultural studies. The objective of the conference is to inform and
forward the
study of travel writing through the provision of a forum for scholars in the
field. The organizers welcome papers that introduce under-represented travel
writers and regions, and especially welcome papers that suggest new critical
and theoretical approaches to particular works, writers, periods, regions or
the genre as a whole.
