[Discussion] The Migration Research Program at Koç University

[ONUR INAL]

Dear Sir/Madam

Launched in August 2004, (MiReKoc, http://home.ku.edu.tr/~mirekoc),a jointly
initiated
grant-giving program by Koç University and the Foundation for
Population,
Migration, and Environment (a Zurich-based Foundation), invites
researchers
working on migration issues to present their migration-related
research
proposals to the MiReKoc Administration.

Promoting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary researches on
diverse
aspects of the migration in Turkey, MiReKoc aims at supporting
interest
and
co-operation among researchers dealing with issues on migration,
developing
researches and joint projects, and producing reliable
information based
on
research findings that can contribute to realistic policy and
decision-making processes.

Under the light of these purposes and concerns, the Program
holds an
annual competition for research grants and welcomes researchers
to send
research proposals until November 10, 2004. The program language
is
English
and researchers are expected to submit their proposals, using
the
MiReKoc
Application Form.

Further information about the application process to MiReKoc is
