HEALTH EQUITY WAR - CALL FOR PAPERS AND INVITATION FOR PARTICIPATION”
“Health equity” as a concept in both development and ethics. The health
consequences of poverty have led to a number of theoretical expressions.
Health inequality manifests itself in a number of processes and
outcomes: inequity of access to health care and services, differences in
life expectancy, issues related to gender equity, including the
povertization of women and children. Male disadvantage in life
expectancy. Issues of class, ethnicity, rural-urban differences
resulting in discrimination and for maintaining the physical and social
well-being of individuals. Gender issues in health research. Patients
suffering from rare - orphan - diseases. The effects of globalization
and health equity. This session aims to explore the nature and different
social contexts in which health inequity exists as well as the effects
of globalization on health equity. What are the outcomes of different
economic, adjustment and educational policies on health equity? What
issues of health equity exist internationally among nation states and
nationally within the boundaries of countries? Social consequences of
the collapse of buildings and other man-made accidents will also be
examined. Please find updated information as regards the meeting at the
IFSSH website http://www.ifssh.net.
