Subject: Social Science History Association 2005 meeting (Portland)
Dear colleague,
I am writing to invite you to participate in the next meeting of the Social
Science History Association November 4-7, 2005, in Portland, Oregon. The
official call for papers has not yet been disseminated electronically or on
the web yet (eventually at http://www.ssha.org/), but the theme is "Big
Social Science History." Usually, each informal network organizes a few
sessions on the theme, but sessions can be about any topic in social-science
history (preferably either across different countries or between
disciplines). At the moment, if you are interested, you can stay abreast of
things in the education network by joining the network e-mail list by
sending a blank e-mail to mailto:
<BLOCKED::mailto:ssha-ednet-subscribe@shermandorn.com>
ssha-ednet-subscribe@shermandorn.com. The Social Science History
Association also is providing small travel grants to 30 graduate students
who are presenting material at the meeting, so please pass this and any
relevant Call for Papers to interested graduate students.
