Uzbek, Russian scientists discuss state of historical science

The Embassy of Russia in Tashkent hosted a scientific conference on the
"History: problems of objectivity and morality" on Tuesday.=20

The forum was held for the first time during the past 10 years. More
than 100 historians from Russia and Uzbekistan participated in it.

Dmitriy Ryurikov, Russian ambassador to Uzbekistan, opened the
conference.

Over 50 reports of representatives of Russian and Uzbek Academies of
Sciences, Academy of State and Public Construction under the President
of Uzbekistan, Uzbek National University, the Academy of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs, the Arts Institute and other institutions were
presented.

The participants, in particular, discussed issues of mythologisation of
history and problems of objectivity, approaches of Russian and Uzbek
scientists to development of historical process, as well as the new
interpretation of the history of Russia's relations with Central Asian
countries
