[Discussion] Lecturer in Modern Middle Eastern History

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the
University of Chicago invites applications for a one-year position at
the
rank of Lecturer or Visiting Faculty in Modern Middle Eastern History,
to
begin Autumn, 2003, for the purpose of teaching four courses to be
offered
on the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.   Applicants must have a
PhD
in hand no later than August, 2003, and a strong record in teaching and
research.

Applications must include a curriculum vitae and the names, addresses
and
telephone/fax numbers of three scholars who can provide academic
