[Discussion] Erken Modern Kültür Araştirmalarinda Terorizm

[Gonul Pultar]

I am soliciting papers for a proposed panel for this fall's GEMCS
(Group for Early Modern Cultural Studies) Conference to be held in
Newport, CA on 10/23/03 through 10/26/03. Approaches to the topic are
ideally broad, and may include analyses of literature, theater,
historical and cultural events, music, art, and religion, from
1400-1800. Especially pertinent to this discussion are examinations of
the way terrorism is defined, the way terrorism affects versions of
community, comparisons between the past and present, and reevaluations
of early modern works and events in light of the concept of terrorism.

Those interested should e-mail an abstract of 250 words to me at
wstockto@indiana.edu by 4/6/03.
