The Journal of Cyprus Studies (Eastern Mediterranean University Press)
is an international, interdisciplinary journal which functions as an
academic forum for the development and exchange of scholarship in the
fields of social, cultural, historical, political and legal studies
relating to the island of Cyprus.
The Journal of Cyprus Studies encourages the presentation of advanced
research, discussion and critique on issues relevant to the past,
present or future of Cyprus. It also continues to develop an authoritative
and comprehensive archive and bibliography for the benefit of scholars
and students whose research is active in the aforementioned areas.
The journal considers original research, reasoned opinion and critical
response for publication, in no way promoting or tolerating
unsubstantiated partisan or discriminatory attitudes and propaganda.
The Journal of Cyprus Studies invites contributions from scholars, and
other interested parties, to present current research, literature reviews,
reports on projects, conferences and other initiatives relating to the
entire island. The official languages of the journal are English and
Turkish, though translations can also be made from Greek. For further
