The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London organizes a conference on: "ISLAMIC ART IN THE NINETEENTH CENTURY: Innovation or Eclecticism?". The conference will be held from 22nd until 24th April 2003 in the Main Lecture Theatre of SOAS at Thornhaugh Street/Russell Square, London WC1H 0XG. It is convened by Professor Doris Behrens-Abouseif, Nasser D. Khalili Chair for Islamic Art & Architecture at SOAS, and by Dr. Stephen Vernoit, Erzini Archive and Museum, Tetuan. Morocco.
