CALL FOR CONTRIBUTORS- Journal of International Affairs, Columbia
University

Columbia University's JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS is in the process

of putting together a special issue on Central Asia. Articles to be
included discuss common problems of the region, relations among states
in
the region, and Central Asia's neighbors.

We have articles on the Russian perspective and the Chinese perspective.

We would very much like to include an article on the South Asian or at
least Indian perspective.

We had originally hoped for an article on the influence of the
India-Pakistan conflict on Central Asia (Pakistan's 'strategic depth'
and support for Islamic radicalism and India's attempts to build ties
around Pakistan) and vice versa. We still think that this would be very
interesting, but would be interested in any article on the relationship
between the regions of Central Asia and South Asia.

Due to time constraints, we can only offer 6-7 weeks of time before the
article would be due.
