This conference marks the 50th anniversary of the
establishment of the Birmingham Centre for Contemporary
Cultural Studies. The event will bring together former staff
and students of the Centre, and those interested in its work

the global reach of the Centre, the teaching and research
methods that were employed and the lessons the Centre can
provide in the current political and cultural contexts.
Confirmed speakers include Geoff Eley, Lawrence Grossberg,
Stuart Hall, Richard Johnson, Jo Littler and Jackie Stacey.<br>
