              and Cultural Studies Association of Turkey are organizing
              a workshop that aims to examine <font color="#000000">the
                history, language, literature, and culture of the
                Turkish element in the United States of America. This
                includes coverage of the immigrants from the Ottoman
                Empire and their descendants, as well as of immigrants
                self-defined as Turkish from other regions of the world.
                We welcome the participation of representatives from
                various academic disciplines who share a common interest
                in Turkish-American topics and hope to feature readings
                by Turkish-American authors. </font></big></font></font>
      </big></p>
    <p class="western" style="margin-left: 0.3in; margin-bottom: 0in;"

            style="font-size: 10pt;" size="2"><big>Proposals are invited
              for 20-minute papers or for sessions comprised of three to
              four papers on any theme pertaining to the
              Turkish-American presence. The proposal should not exceed
              200 words, and a bio should be attached.</big></font></font></big></p>
