<p><strong>This interdisciplinary conference</strong> will draw
together faculty members, researchers, and professionals from the
social sciences, and provide them with the opportunity to interact with
colleagues from the same field and from related fields.
Cross-disciplinary submissions are particularly encouraged as is
participation by international scholars. The disciplines represented
will include: <strong><em>Anthropology</em></strong><strong><em>, </em></strong><strong><em>Area
Studies (Asia, Latin America, Europe, etc.), </em></strong><strong><em>Communication,
</em></strong><strong><em>Criminology, </em></strong><strong><em>Economics,
</em></strong><strong><em>Geoscience, </em></strong><strong><em>Gender
Studies, </em></strong><strong><em>History, </em></strong><strong><em>International
Studies, </em></strong><strong><em>Political Science, </em></strong><strong><em>Policy/Public
Administration, </em></strong><strong><em>Psychology, </em></strong><strong><em>Race/Ethnic
Studies, </em></strong><strong><em>Sociology, and </em></strong><strong><em>Urban
Studies.</em></strong></p>
<p style="border: medium none ; padding: 0in;" align="left">Participants
are welcome to <a
 href="http://conference-alert.net/go.php/710030/241201/4649358"><strong>submit
a paper proposal</strong></a> to present either a 30-minute paper
presentation, or to jointly present a 90-minute colloquium session.&nbsp;The
types of papers presented include: research&nbsp;(qualitative or
quantitative), theoretical articles, papers prepared by practitioners
that deal with application, best practices, and case studies.</p>
<p>It is a presenter&#8217;s conference and we strongly encourage people to
attend sessions throughout the three-day conference. The conference
registration fee includes a plated lunch each day of the conference, as
well as an opening night reception, providing attendees an opportunity
to meet and get to know each other. Student registration rates are
$300, and faculty registration rates are $375.</p>
