Veli*<BR><BR>Due to the 800^th anniversary of the birth of Hacı Bektaş Veli,
*International Symposium of Hacı Bektaş Veli* will be held between 19-21 October
2009 by the joint venture of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture, Hacı Bektaş
Veli Anatolian Cultural Foundation, Alevi Institute (Research, Documentation and
Application Institute of Alevism), and Ankara University Faculty of Political
Science.<BR><BR>The symposium aims to raise and expand the national and
international recognition level of Hacı Bektaş Veli and Bektashi order, enable
the exchange of information between researchers and scientists conducting<SPAN
class=852371821-07062009> </SPAN>research on international and national level in
different research areas and disciplines of Bektashi order by bringing them
together, create an interdisciplinary platform suitable for comparing and
discussing different perspectives developed in relation with Hacı Bektaş Veli
and Bektashi order, and offer those perspectives to the assessment and use of
