<P>Dear colleagues,</P>

<P>I would like to draw your attention to the following conference. </P>
<P>First International Congress on the European Turks in the Context of 
Education and Culture (Antwerpen, 22-23 februari 2008).</P>
<P>The congress intends to discuss educational and cultural acquisitions of 
European Turks and to evaluate the future on the basis of preservation of social 
and cultural values and orientation to the society lived in and to improve new 
points of views about the problems. However, contributions on a larger 
intercultural focus about several dimensions of the social life among various 
populations, including the Turks in Europe, are also welcome. </P>
<P>The official languages of the conference will be Turkish, Dutch and English, 
but some communications in French will also be considered. The Conference will 
be held in Antwerp on 22-23 February 2008. The date for submission of abstracts 
is 30 December 2007.</P>
