<P><FONT FACE="Palatino Linotype">The British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES) Graduate Section seeks submissions from graduate students of all levels from all universities in the United Kingdom, exploring any Middle East-related subject from the Arab League to Zand painting.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Palatino Linotype">Highlights of the Conference:</FONT>

<P><FONT FACE="Palatino Linotype">Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to offer modest travel grants to speakers coming from universities in the UK, and meals during the conference to all those giving papers.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Palatino Linotype">Please submit a 250 word abstract on any Middle East-related topic by 31 March 2007 to the conference committee at john.knight@sant.ox.ac.uk</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Palatino Linotype">Abstracts will be judged anonymously and those selected to speak will be notified by 15 April 2007.</FONT>
