<P><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Arial">The Council on Middle East Studies (CMES) at the MacMillan Center invites applications for a post-doctoral position at Yale University for AY2007-2008, with the possibility of a one-year renewal. Candidates must have completed the PhD by the time of appointment, have research/ teaching experience related to contemporary ME issues, have in-depth knowledge of at least one ME-related language and fluency in English. The post-doctoral fellow will pursue his/her own research, assist faculty in coordinating a weekly ME-luncheon series and an associated graduate-level seminar and teach one course related to his/her interests. Applicants should submit a cover letter, one-page description of research plans; a draft of a course syllabus; names and contact information of two references and a CV. Compensation includes an annual salary of $40,000, health coverage, office space, and access to a computer, the Yale library system and other facilities available to members of the Yale community. Yale is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. Deadline for submissions: November 15, 2006.</FONT></SPAN></P>
