George Mason University invites applications for a tenure-track position in 
Women's Studies at the assistant professor rank, to begin August, 2007. A social 
science background is required and we are particularly interested in candidates 
working in areas such as embodiment, gender and sexuality; globalization; or 
social movements. The scholarship and teaching interests of the candidate should 
demonstrate a commitment to intersectional and cross cultural analysis. 
Candidates must hold the PhD by the time of appointment.<BR><BR>The Women's 
Studies program offers an undergraduate minor, a graduate certificate, and a 
track in the MA program in Interdisciplinary Studies. The academic program is 
affiliated with the Women's Studies Research and Resource Center, which provides 
educational programs and advocacy services for the campus community.<BR><BR>The
