Filled).<BR><BR>The American University in Cairo (AUC) is seeking an energetic 
academic director to provide leadership and vision for a multi-disciplinary 
Forced Migration and Refugee Studies Program (FMRS), located in the School of 
Humanities and Social Science. FMRS offers a graduate Diploma in Forced 
Migration and Refugee Studies designed to meet the needs of individuals whose 
professional, research or academic interests focus upon issues of forced 
migration or population and migration generally. FMRS combines teaching with 
dynamic research opportunities, unique outreach and service activities for 
refugee communities, and ongoing networking and collaboration with academic 
institutions and organizations that work with those communities, locally,

field of forced migration and refugee studies in terms of both teaching and 
research, and to hold appropriate credentials in Law, Political Science, 
Anthropology or Sociology. With a proven track record of program leadership, the 
applicant is expected to work with the Joint Steering Committee representing a 
number of university departments and with a team of dedicated staff, to advise 
and support FMRS students; teach; manage research programs and community 
outreach activities and further develop the Program's regional and international 
collaborations. Fundraising for these activities would also be
