research journal established by graduate students. Since 1992,the Journal has
provided an alternative forum for innovative work by both established and rising
scholars. The extensive review section comprises an essential part of the
Journal, providing an important resource for graduate students and
scholars.

We invite students and scholars in all fields to submit reviews
of books addressing or intersecting with the field of Middle Eastern Studies.
The theme for our upcoming issue is "The Dynamics of Space in the Middle East
and North Africa." Reviews on books concerning this topic are especially
welcome. The books under review can be written in any language, and reviews
about non-Arab subjects are equally welcome. Preference is given to reviews of
books published after 2004. In addition to books, recent reviews have included
film, art, and cultural productions. The deadline for our Fall 2006 issue is May
15th. However, we accept submissions on a rolling basis.

Go to our
