Scholars Programme 2006/2007</STRONG><BR><BR>The Programme on Contemporary
Turkey (PCT) at the University of Oxford invites applications under its Visiting
Scholars Programme.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV align=justify><FONT face="Palatino Linotype"><BR>As well as being given the
title "Visiting Scholar", the visitor will receive a College affiliation with St
Antony's College. Benefits include economy return ticket, local costs
(e.g. accommodation, work room, meals in College), access to the libraries and
archive resources of the University and a stipend of
£250/week.<BR><BR>Applicants should be established post-holding academics with a
strong record of research on Turkey in any of the disciplines of the humanities
and social studies. The visiting scholar would be expected to play an
active role in the activities of the University with respect to the study of
contemporary Turkey, and to deliver at least one lecture on a related subject of
his/her choosing.<BR><BR>Applicants should send a copy of their CV (including
